wheel alignment issue?

Alright so I just got some rota g-force 18x9 with nexen n7000 tires. I took them to a nearby tire shop thinking it would be a quick in and out but apparently the machine they use for alignment would have scratched the rims because of how concave they are and the parts sticking out from the tire would block the metal rod. I don't know too much about doing alignment, but is there any other type of device used for this? Im going to try to call some other shops and it'd probably help if i could ask if they have a specific type of machine so i don't waste my time. Also are there chain car shops or you know of in central ohio that would be good with evos for things like this ? (I think at this shop they considered the wheels more custom and thats why the machine wouldn't work)

That sounds like BS. I use to work at Mr. Tire, we used Hunter pro. If you don't have a Mr. Tire, also tread quarters, and Auto tire car care center.

Yeah I thought it was surprising too but i'm glad they didn't try it anyways and end up scratching the rims.

I'm in worthington (not too far north of columbus).

Ah, places I know are too far for you. Sorry, can't help there.

Try the regional forum, ask for a proper alignment shop, or see if there is a race shop in the area that does them. Get it done right.

alright so I got an appointment for tomorrow with a place called Bee line who specializes in alignment. Anybody heard of them? Or maybe its just local. I asked about the hunter pro and they said they didn't have it but promised that their machine wouldn't even touch the rims let alone scratch it. Hopefully this will work out, haha I hate the car that i've been driving instead.

Just a quick question, how's the Nexen n7000? Are they high performance all seasons? Have you driven them in snow? How does the steering/handling? Noise? Sry for all the questions, haha. Thanks
