Doing Brakes..How to Clean etc..

Im doing my brakes tommorow and i want to know what i should use to clean the calipers and what parts i should grease etc..thanks in advance

If you go to the DIY forum, you'll see there are a couple of sticky's to clean/rebuild/paint... I personally just use Simple Green somewhat diluted and rinse thoroughly. If the clearcoat is coming off, then thats a whole new deal. Again, this has been covered in other threads specifically.

If you have the wheels off and have full access to the calipers, just get a bucket with water and car shampoo, a good old toothbrush or a soft car-specific brush and give those calipers a good clean on both sides, try the interior side first to make sure the brush does not scratch the paint. Don't use any harsh chemicals since they might/will damage the clear and paint on your brembos. If you are replacing pads then you can clean the calipers even better, once again, soap and water will do. Good luck.

yea im replacing the pads..but i have read somewhere that we should grease some part of the caliper...
