mr bilstien question

just a quick one. i want to replace my front bilstiens as there is a bit of play between the center shaft and the housing. if i grab the wheel top and bottom i can feel about 1-2mm of play and no its not the wheel bearing, its basically the top bushing on the shock case is worn after 65,000miles of use.

my question is this is the stock mr bilstien a sport or HD shock?

the dealer wants 600 each but i can get HD for 300 each from the aftermarket, I dont want the ride of my car to be stiffer as i like how it handles now.

thanks Adam

Although I am not sure I would guess that they are considered sport as you can get a set of bilstein hd's which are supposedly a little bit stiffer. Im not sure if you are aware but your stock struts could also be sent out to bilstein and rebuilt.

I would buy 2 of the HD Bilstein instead of one Stocker. Remeber they are different you can't buy just one HD as the valving is def. different

Good Luck

From: somewhere testing various tires, brakes, and suspensions.
Pick up a used set of KYBs for the down time. Send the MRs to Bilstein. For $75 a strut you can get them rebuild and matched to any spring rating.
