Question Does anyone know what brand wheel locks these are?

Hi Guys,

When I had my '99 BMW M Coupe I bought a set of wheel locks that were highly reccomended at the time. I read about them on the bimmer.org mesage boards back then, and I thought that I ordered them from Stillen. I'd like to buy another set, but no amount of Googling or other misc. looking has led me to them or their manufacturer. I thought that someone here may be familiar with them.

They were caps that you snapped over the head of a lug or bolt and then you screwed them tight with a key. The lock itself had plastic teeth inside and the outside was an anodized aluminum that rotated freely. If I remember correctly the offered a number of colors, and they advertised that they had thousands of different key designs.

Is anyone familiar with these? Are they still well regarded or is there a better design?

Thanks,

--Josh

Wheel locks there are only a few. The mentioned Rays sports locks/lugs are extremely lightweight and use a special socket to fit the lugnut. Another type is the Gorilla style which uses the spline lugnut with socket. The last is the key type you mentioned which is mostly from McGard.
