Spring install problem :(

Alright so i just started installing my GTWorx springs on my stock kyb struts. I got all of the springs onto the struts using a spring compressor, everything is seated properly and things like that. I went to install the front strut and its not lining up right at all. The bottom of the strut where the 2 19mm bolts go into the knuckle will not line up. I already put the top of the strut into place and held it with the 3 nuts. The entire strut assembly is to long, i mean way to long. I would need to get the entire strut like 2 inches higher in order to even make an attempt at getting the 2 bolts into the knuckle. My thinking is that

1. Maybe i didn't seat it right, but i checked like 5 times and everything looks to be perfect.
2. The top nut on the tophat isn't tight enough? I feel like i cant really tighten it down anymore but if i could maybe that would shorten the legnth.
3. Compress the springs while trying to install but i feel like you really shouldn't have to do that and thats way to much stuff going on at one time.
4. use a jack to bring up the strut but i tried that and there wasn't much room in there.

Any ideas?

Try using the spring compressor on the springs when you're putting them on the struts. I made sure to do that for my GTWorx spring install. Its way to stiff to push down by hand. Its tricky but it worked for me. Had no problems putting the strut back on.

I used this guide when I did mine.

Compare your strut with the other side make sure your spring hat the top part is down all the way and tight. Secondly you may need to disconnect your swaybar end link that should allow you to pull the arm down more to gain clearance. The strut can only expand so much its going to be the same height as it was with the factory spring.

i think i may need to disconnect that. I have coilovers on now and am switching back to the stock strut with this spring. When i realized i wasn't going to get it on i put the coilover back in and it was perfect, i didn't even need to push down on the knuckle to get it to go back in place lol. I was a little upset.

Try disconnecting the end links for the sway bar, should allow the assembly to drop.

EDIT: sorry someone already mentioned that so +1

same thing happened to me when i was taking my coilovers off. the back wouldn't go down far enough to fit the stock strut, and like everyon is saying, disconnect the endlinks
