Damn Vandals

So I just found out someone slashed one of my tires. I haven't driven the car in 3 days, and on the morning of the 3rd day, the tire is flat. I couldn't see any nails or slashes, so I figured and hoped it was a punk kid who thought it was funny to uncap my valve stem and let the air out. I also hoped that if it was indeed a slash, that it be anywhere in the middle of the tread so I can at least patch it up. I take it to a gas station to pump it up, and what do I find upon closer inspection? Not one, but 2 f*ckin slash punctures on the corner of the damn sidewall and tread. Now I gotta shell out an unecessary $220 : If I findout who did it, I will . (I know it's just a tire, but it's the vandalism that really pisses me off).

Anyone else know of a cheaper place to get OEM tires other than Tirerack?

tires

which brings to mind a question, is the spare a full or a bike tire?

It's a temporary spare... no way a full size one would fit. At least whoever did it didn't mess with your bodywork/paint... I saw a Jeep Liberty the other day driving around after it had been egged.. some people don't realize how bad egging a car can be..

You're getting off easy paying $208 + tax considering the dealership wants close to $300. I would think Tirerack is your only choice at this point in time. Sorry, bro.

PS - Your artwork turned out great!

TireRack is awesome. Took them less than 30hrs to be shipped from the time I ordered to the time it was delivered! Look how new this tire is, treads all crisp and sharp.

What kind of problems would I be running with, seeing how this tire is 7400 miles behind? The other tires probably have 20% less tread only.

theo I have in the past patch the heck out of my tires, it works well but wont last forever, it will be temp, but it will also save u some cash. Once u have the doe definitely get it replaced. But they make patches that goes on the corners. $10 anytire place should have it, at least here in jersey they do hehe. but as for those guys who did it, get ur tire fixed first and then run them over.
