Centering BBS Wheel

I have been hearing some weird noises from my rear end lately, so i took my evo8 to my reputable local brake/ suspension shop. Turns out my MR BBS wheel is centering on the wheel studs not the centering cap, which throws off the balence. they recomended I replace the wheel centering insert. My question to EVOM is what is this centering insert and does anyone know the part number?

The oem bbs is bored perfectly for the wheel hub. There is no additional centering rings needed. I think there was a mounting error on your behalf.

probably was carelessly torqued instead of torqueing in star pattern and/or gross difference of torque between the studs

Agreed. No rings needed on oem wheels. Check the torque which should be in the owners manual.

I noticed a lot of people will not put the wheels on properly and theyll get hung up offcentered on the studs, people will then torque them down and it can ruin the wheel or studs pretty nicely.

What I do to make sure theyre on properly is hand tighten one nut down and then put another one on opposing the first one, then I wiggle the wheel a little bit to make sure it does not move any more so I know each stud is centered in the lug hole. This way I know the wheel is flush with the brake hat and it is ready to be properly torqued down.
