wheel pros needed, cracked rx7 wheels

So I came across a practically free set of FD rx7 wheels (50 stamped) but 3 of them have hairline cracks on a single spoke...

My question is , could a wheel refurbishing shop take on this repair? And if so , do you think it could take the abuse of hoosiers and track use? Or I'm I just wasting time...

I had a rim with a hairline crack on one of the spokes and the wheel repair man said that he would not feel comfortable repairing it. Can it be done...maybe, however is it worth it...probably not.

Completely wasting your time. Think safety first, why chance something like that?

Those wheels are notorious for cracking. We use to use them long ago in the DSM world as a cheap 16x8 for 245 hoosiers, but almost everyone eventually saw them start to crack.

I personally would just look elsewhere for wheels.

I've already decided not to waste time with cracked rims, but $500+ for shipped for rx7 wheels is a no go..

And I don't even know if they are the ones that fit, thanks tho... i appreciate it

Yes, get a set of Evo VII wheels on the net. I have a set here in Trinidad, that nobody seems to want.

Just fling the tire into the wheel well, I'm sure you can fit just about any 13"+ tire over OE Brembos if you don't use a wheel. And no wheel is cheap and light, so that's 2 more positives.

Wait, did you want to drive the car?
