How to adjust stiffness?

My car is running alittle to bouncy for my taste now. Never was like this when i had them on awhile back. Don't know if its my shocks that are going out or somethings getting loose. How do you adjust the stiffness on coilovers? Their D2 coilovers by the way. Heres a picture:

I don't kow D2.. but that looks like you can't adjust it. Correct me if I am wrong... if they are adjustable... you can try looking under the coilover. There should be some adjustment knob... if not then dampening isn't probably adjustable.

there should be a knob on the top or the bottom of the strut

open your hood, look at the top of the strut. it should be directly on the top of the strut, in the center. if not there, in the center of the bottom of the strut. you'll have to get under the car to see this. if you don't have a knob of any kind in either of those two places, it's not adjustable.

I have to say stiffness is more about how a girl acts than how she looks, dead ugly it won't matter but a sexy attitude really gets it stiff.

"Stiffness" isn't really a quantifiable force that can be measured or adjusted. Spring rates, damper rebound/compression are what affect what could be perceived/described as "stiffness."

Lower spring rates with a bit slower rebound would probably result in ride and handling that could be perceived/described as "less stiff."

Your D2 coilovers probably aren't worth doing any changes to these things. If you want, try lower spring rates, but who knows where your damper rebound compression is set and if it will be anywhere near appropriate for those spring rates. Then again, that may be the case when they were new out of the box IMO.

I was at work and didn't see the pic...there is no adjustment on the top. If there isnt one on the bottom, then they are not adjustable.

There is adjustment if you drop an allen wrench in the top of that nut. Little bitty ones came with those coils, probably 28 settings. all the way clockwise is uber soft. all the leftty is spine jarring girlfriend whining..... just so you know. Factory ones come with 4, one for each corner, with pretty girl friendly purple knobs on them.

Seems like your coilovers are missing the adjustment knob on the top.
