best bang for the buck alignment kit

Did a search already. Didn't find anything conclusive. Basically long story short the price of a 4 wheel alignment here in Japan is ridiculous...think like 400 dollars per car. Anyways since now I have two evos (my JDM evo 3 setting up for auto-x), and my JDM evo 7 for daily use, I need to align both cars accurately. I want to know what the hardcore auto-x's are using out there, and their opinions on kits available on the market.

I found these two kits searching around..

i couldn't get a price from them because there site said out in the shop for maintenance but if you were planning on getting one of those digital levels i'd shop around there is loads of companies that sell the exact same one branded by them for less money i'm sure.

Many racers (AX and HPDE) use a kit like that. I have done temp alignments after suspension changes also.

So, yes you can do your own. Yes it takes time and you have to do it right. But it is doable.

For quick toe checks, toe plates work well and are pretty inexpensive, but you can't do a real four-wheel alignment with them.

You can set up strings yourself using jackstands, but the SmartStrings product does make for an easier/faster process, particularly if you're working by yourself.
