I'd like to see if the impressive collected brain trust here has any experience (or an informed guess) on whether/how these wheels will fit on a 2006 Evo 9 on Ohlins coilovers at stock height with unmodified fenders:
SSR GTX01 Wheel - 17x9.0 / 5x114.3 / Offset +38 (Type B)

Also, thoughts on tire sizes?
Thanks in advance!
Well, on the surface, the size and offset are very mild. Not sure I like the +38 offset (stock offset). Most guys like to run a shallower offset for some poke. The real issue may be the front. This wheel may need a large front spacer to clear the brakes
Let me see if a search produces any results for our EvO
How about one step larger on the same rim: 18x9.5 ET+22 SSR GTX01?
Those seems like they would take a fender roll at the least. Perhaps a pull and bumper bolt relocation in the rear?
Yeah, thats a huge change to move over to a 18x9.5 ET+22. This wheel would be very tough to fit & you would need a stretch tire to make it work. Its considered a Stance wheel vs a Function wheel which is totally OK if you like that
So, you are correct. A tight rear roll, rear fender pull & the bumper bolt would be needed

wonder if this offset clears the calipers on the 8/9. Folks run TE37s in this size but like MinusPrevious said, it would take the work he outlined. This size and offset has the nicer C face which has the most concave. I do not think I have ever seen an Evo running this wheel in this offset.
One other recommendation is if you want to run the 17x9, Wedssports TC105N has a +25 which is still aggressive but requires little to no work in the rear as long as you do not dump the car. You can run a 255/40 with it and plenty of folks have ran this set up in the past.
Wedssports are on par quality wise compared to the SSRs
Thank you very much, both of you. I'll take a look at those Wedssports. They're quite nice! Would the 18x9" +35 version work as well with little to no body massaging? (I've never rolled or pulled a fender before and it has me nervous)

Yeah, the 18x9 +35 would be a good fit for the EvO rear. A rear roll would still be needed if you were running a 255/35 or 255/40 tire
Wandering if anyone can help... i not long ago purchased new rota grids and they didnt fit my evo 7 so had to sell them. Trying not to make the same mistake but i cant get concrete info on the new wheels i want.
Will a volk te37 17x8.5 +30 fit my evo 7 brembos and without arch pulling?

No concrete here, just opinion
Well, the 17x8.5 +30 will fit the EvO rear but would recommend a slight rear roll depending on tyre size (i.e. 255/40)
Not sure what kind of front caliper fit youre facing. You may need a spacer up front to clear the Brembos
thanks for the reply mate but i need concrete ..
i want to run 235/45/17 same as stock. And i really need to no if they clear the standard caliper..
Thanks
The 235/45/17 may work w/out a roll but its going to be close. Regarding the front fit, there is no good way to know w/out a test fit. There are some templates out that can help in determining caliper clearance but personally have never used
Let me see if a forum or internet search shows any forum threads on this wheel
got the CE28RTs (18x9.5) PCd in a color called Galaxy Grey 3. They turned out great. Also put on new Fortune 500s and freshly rebuilt and PCd Brembos. Unfortunately, due to a miscalculation on my part with the front spacer on the Volks (these are an odd +24 offset which were only released in this offset to my knowledge on this version of the Ce28), I had to order an additional set of 3 mm spacers to clear the fronts. Soooo... effective offset on the fronts will be a tad aggressive at +16. But the rears fit just right. The +24 made a world of a difference. Went with 265/35 Potenzas. A couple of pics to show the rear and new color of the wheels. This is without any camber or alignment of course.
