Has anybody successfully fit 18x10.5 wheels in +15 offset in FRONT stock fenders of an Evo 8 w/o any rubbing? Wheels I have in mind is Volk Rays TE37SL. Is the DIY widebody front fender mod absolutely necessary or will I be able to get away with just a roll and pull in front?
I'm planning to run an autocross set-up with reverse staggered wheels. TE37SLs with 18x9.5 +22 will be installed in the rear. We'll do a roll and pull to fit this.
Tires will be 265/35 r18 on all four corners, in order to not upset the AWD system.
I have no info to help you fit that, just wanted to say that I'd be a little hesitant about the same size tire on different width wheels for the AWD system. You will likely have different rolling diameters between the 2 that MAY cause issues.
I don't have any experience doing this but just something to think about.

Thanks for the concern but this car is really a Sunday car/weekend warrior/track toy and travels only <2000 miles in a year. It's not my daily so as the posts in the thread below say, it will most likely not be concern as the rolling diameter will be all the same.
The fact that tuning companies ran reverse staggered wheels in their circuit evos to reduce understeer at the track sold me of the idea. This is not novel and has been done multiple times. I scoured through the EvoM forums for reverse staggered set-up but couldn't find any info on who has done 10.5 +15 TE37SL on the fronts.
Messaging this forum again to ask for help with fitment. The fronts (TE37SL 18x10.5 +15) fit with no rubbing at all, given just a roll. Sure, it pokes out a bit but nothing unmanageable and unsightly.
The rears (TE37SL 18x9.5 +22) rub on hard dips taken at speed and on steep turning inclines. The rears have been rolled already. I couldn't locate properly where it rubs but my hypothesis is on the bumper bolt fastener and so a bolt relocate is up next. Perhaps others who've fit this wheel can guide me? Otherwise, I'm loving the functional reverse staggered fitment, the steering feels much more planted and agile.
Hi. So I will start this off with saying I know very little about wheel fitment and using spacers other than 17x9 or 17x9.5 RPF1 is usually run with a +35 offset and 20mm spacers lol.
Anyway, I am looking to purchase a set of momo wheels. However, I do not know if they will fit or what offset I will need. I am looking at either 17x9 or 17x9.5.
Those are the wheels. I am wondering if these would fit or what size spacer I would need if I go with either 17x9 or 17x9.5. I see they have the lip sizes listed, but I'm not sure if this is the same as offset. Also I am not sure what tires I would run.
Would any of you wheel experts be able to help me with this please? Below is a picture of the wheels on an evo. This is the type of fitment I am looking for

I run both a 17x9 & a 17 x 9.5 setup. It really depends on how much rear fender work you can stomach?
Let me know if you are open to rolling & pulling the rear fender (should be done by wheel & tire shop)
Cheers,

Otherwise I might just go the standard RPF1 route. I was just trying to do something a little different going with momo.

Running the +38 in the rear w/a minimum tire of: 255 or 265/40/17 will require a nice, flat rear fender roll to start. The front fit will work as the front is much more forgiving but expect some wheel liner rub! The effective offset up front will be an aggressive +18 due to to spacer
If you want to try something else, just let me know the wheel & tire size.
I'm interested in these wheels as well but I can not find any info on if they'll clear the front brakes and the stock fender with a square setup. Also, ideally not needing spacers...
Without speculating, does anyone KNOW of these being run on an Evo 7/8/9?
The modbargain pic looks photoshopped and it does say "product rendering" as well as having the over fenders and being staggered. https://www.summitracing.com/search/...color%3Ayellow
Who has run a set of Firestone Firehawk Indy 500's? Thoughts? Worth the money? Gonna swap winters out but needing new rubber and am peasant!
I've ran them on multiple cars for years and they are a great street tire. Decent grip, high enough tread wear rating for daily driving and good wet traction. They also weren't all the bad on snow/ice

Gotta admit I'm stunned getting the exact response I wanted...and being a paranoid weirdo that seems highly suspicious.
I have an evo 9 on stock enkei 17s. It’s lowered with fortune auto coilovers. I want to put Michelin pilot sport 4s all season in size 255-40-17. I just bought hubcentric 15mm spacers to bring wheel out to fender for flush look. Will this tire fit with my setup? Thanks for anyone who can help!

I have run that size on a stock wheel before without issue, but I didn't run any spacers. I think that based on what I know about TE37 fitment, it "should" fit without rubbing but the only way to know for sure is going to be to test it out. You may want a smaller spacer on hand just in case.
