How much are stock rotors going for these days....I'm thinking of buying some stock ones and that AMS cooling system and seeing how that works.

worst case scenario they explode and I die. then I have to buy new rings for the PFC rotors.

OK, this is confusing. You have shiny red calipers, but the rotors look like they have seen some heavy track usage and age. If you ahve heated those rotors enough to cause that much heat cracking your calipers would not be that shiny red. How old are these rotors? How much track time have they seen?

So I need new rotors. Rotors that can take the abuse of deceleration from 150mph down to 45mph over and over again for 20 laps w/o heat checking like this.

Application vehicle is a 03 Evo 8 530awhp 500wtq track ***** with stock brembo calipers. Road course, specifically, and light autoX.

Any recommendations?

These rotora have seen a **** ton of track time. Redline time attack mostly with a little AutoX. The calipers are repainted. They are bloody doo doo brown in the spots where the paint was missed.

Its a 530whp car that has seen stops from above 160mph down to under 50mph on the track.

Good eye.

They are not a true 2-piece floating rotor. The PFC's and Giro Disc are though.

Rotors are a expendable item. Needing replacement often, just like your brake pads...

Just buy new hats and be done with it for the next few months... rinse and repeat...

If its a little to expensive for your budget to replace the hats ever few months just run Centric blanks... I do...

I just ordered some slotted DBA 4000's.

I think they will be good enough for the first track I'll be racing at this year. (Nelson's Ledges).

I got a set of 2 fronts, brand new for $275.

Here is a layout of that track with some telemetry data from my Subaru overlaid if you've never heard of Nelson's Ledges.

The fastest my Subaru ever got there was 125mph and I had to brake down to ~45mph for the next turn.

How many track days do you have on these rotors? I have had the opposite experinece to you. I went through several brands including those mentioned here before settling on the PFs ( with either PF or Pagid pads) - they have held up best for me for track work.

The other brands didnt make it past 4 days (each day with 3 o4 30 minute sessions)

Our Evo (arguably the fastest Street Tire Redline competitor) has been able to destroy solid (one-piece) rotors quite easily and we have had brake fade issues every time at every track until we switched to DBA 5000 series rotors. They are a two-piece rotor that as mentioned earlier is NOT a fully floating design, but we purchased them because of this fact. We don't have the same power level that you have, but have been north of 150 plenty of times at Autoclub Speedway in California that transitions down to a 2nd gear chicane. We use CL RC-8/6 pads front and rear along with custom 3" brake cooling ducts.

Best of luck with the one-piece, but I would seriously look into the DBA two-piece design.
