Offset and spacer questions
I have been searching but really can't find anything for my answers. I hope you all can help me out with this.
Ok, what offset size is needed for a spacer and with out a spacer? Can someone make a chart or something that could help. Is width a big factor in this?
--I am trying to find a good lite drag rim that will fit the M/T(26x7x17) slicks and don't like how they look on the stock rim. A good 17x7 rim. But can't find a 35 offset in that size. I only find 40, 42, 45, or 48 offset. Now with those offsets I listed what mm spacer is used for each offset for them to clear the stock break?
--I am also looking at 16" rims like the RX7 rim everyone runs with QTP's on them. But I don't want to run the RX7 rim. I want to run Rota slipstreams with out a small break set up. Need to know what offset is needed with spacer to do this like RX7 rim way.
Thank you all for your time and help on this. Thanks

i think you are not getting a response...because it's an impossible question. it depends on the rim in question and the back spacing that it has.
for example a TE-37 is designed for big brakes and the manufacture states what will clear the brembo on the website. if you get a custom 3 piece like a ccw/jline, you get a template for determining clearance of the brembo and they make a center piece that will clear for you. but with the lesser wheel's you will not find any of this info, because they don't do research to establish back spacing spec's or sometimes not even offset. they don't care they just make copies of wheels cheap
if you state what the wheel in question is, someone will probably find out if it fits for you.

you are not going to run a 16 inch wheel without changing the front brembo's for jdm rs brakes. or maybe a small wilwood race front caliper. as for a 17x7 on drag slicks. i know a volk TE-37 can clear in a 17x8.5+30 or maybe a volk ce-28n you can get that in 17x8+33 and it will clear too.
if you are on a budget...you can get gramlight 17x8+33 57ultimate for well under 2000. talk to a-spec. that is where i got my gramlights.
hope this helps
look at this web site, it will help http://www.rays-msc.com/wheels/

looked aroung a little and it looks like the ams evo uses a rota wheel with there slicks, but you will have to change the front and rear brakes to a wilwood drag set up to go with the 15" they used.
wheeldude can help you with a rota
