245/40 will throw off your speedo quite a bit. I would either stick with stock 235/45 or go with 255/40-17s

Do you know how much it'll throw it off? I'm planning on going 245/40 too but I don't want my speedo to be way off as I tend to do speed limits to avoid unnecessary problems.

235/45/17 = 25.327
245/40/17 = 24.717
255/40/17 = 25.031

http://www.therangerstation.com/tech...rom_Tires.html

According to calculator your 60 mph with stock tires(235/45/17) will now appear as 58.6
with 245/40/17.

I went with 245/40/17 star specs.

Unfortunately, our cars draw attention in the 1st place. Going wingless will certainly help you blend into the background.

The police and all of us suffer from:

Confirmation bias (also called confirmatory bias or myside bias) is a tendency for people to favor information that confirms their preconceptions or hypotheses regardless of whether the information is true. As a result, people gather evidence and recall information from memory selectively, and interpret it in a biased way.

The odds are stacked against us big time.

I went back to Star Spec Z1 on 235/45-17. Nothing beats the original
