Suspension/Coilover - right side lower than left side!!!

2 months ago, I noticed that my left rear suspension was lower than my right side. About an inch. I thought it was because my rear shock kinda old so I ordered a set of Fortune Auto Coilovers. When I installed the front ones, everything was nice and even, on both sides. But when I finished the rear, my rear left side was about 2.5 inches lower than my right side . I doubled check the height measurment on both sides and they were exactly the same. Do you guys have any idea what could be wrong?? Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Diogo

2-1/2" is a lot from side to side. Is it possible the ground is not level where you are parked when measuring? Also, be sure to measure from the fender to the wheel center, not from the fender to the ground. This will help eliminate any tire height differences. Tire inflation, tire size difference, sagging spring or some other suspension component differences are my best guesses.

Did you jump the car like you're a WRC driver? That's the only way to bend a shock tower.

Also, how did you measure height? You're supposed to measure from the bottom lip of the wheel to the fender. Do you have the same size wheels and tires on both sides?

This is what i did... I took both rear shock out.... measure the pre-load and height on both coilovers and I made sure they were the same...put them in...dropped the car....rear passenger was about 2 inch lower than rear driver side...
BTW...the tower were good.

If you lose gas pressure in the shock it will happen. Are you running the Swift setup from Fortune? If not, the springs could have sagged as well. Ive seen some crazy sagging in coilover springs in the china setups.

Sent the 2 rear shocks back to Fortune to be dyno tested. Terry, from Fortune, called me and told that the shocks were good and within specs. So, he sending me the shocks back with new springs. It should be here tomorrow. Hopefully this will solve the problem.

Sounds like FA has good customer service, but it probably won't solve the problem. If the problem was there before the coilovers and is there now... Probably not the coilovers.

Have you checked all your bushings?

Everything has been checked. I brought the car to www.dentsport.com and they told me that everything is fine with the car. They checked and the bushings control and trailing arms. They tested the shocks and , by their test, one shock wasnt rebounding right.

I sent the video to Fortune. They told that wasnt the scientifical way to test the rebound on the shock and he told me if we did the same test with a set of Ohlins, it would happened away.

From: somewhere testing various tires, brakes, and suspensions.
Fortune is right. That "shop" is incorrect.

Are you the original owner of the car? Take car to a proper shop. And a body shop. See if something is bent.
