You shouldn't use a torque wrench to break it loose, it'll just wind up killing the wrench. Use a breaker bar and put the lugs back ON with the wrench, 80 lb ft of torque. Air guns are the worst

What's the width of the tires?... If you know the what the width of the tires are, than you can use this formula:
2x tirewidth x sidewall ratio / 2540 + wheel size= overall diameter. eg.

2x235x45/2540+17=25.326

2x255x40/2540+17=25.03

as long as the over all tire diameter is within a couple tenths of an inch of the stock tire diameter you should be ok.

They are 195 55 R15 in front, and 195 60 R15 in the rear. What is the stock tire diameter? Would it be much of a difference for my Evo I?

rbm3 I don't know what the stock tire size is on an Evo l, but I'm assuming that it's one of the tires that you listed.

195 55 15= 23.44 in

195 60 15= 24.21 in

That gives you a difference of .77 in. Your still under one inch in over all diameter so you should be ok. But your gearing is going to be off. And I would try to get tires of the same size as soon as possible.

I learned the hard way that craftsman doesn't warranty their tq wrenches beyond 90 days. Since its a "precision tool", it doesn't carry a lifetime warranty. If you can afford it, go snap on. If you cant, get a used snap on and have it calibrated. (you should have it calibrated anyway)
