Well, I have some more driving impressions now that Wisconsin has seen some snow and ice...

I still stand behind my statement before that these tires are great for snow tires on dry pavement. I have been very impressed with them that way.

On ice, they don't come near Green Diamonds. I had them on a frozen lake, and they were worthless. I don't know how they compare to Hakkas or Blizzaks on ice, because I don't have any ice experience with those tires. This was on a frozen lake with no snow or anything for traction.

On snow, they aren't that great either. Are they better than all-seasons, yes. Are they better than A046's, without a doubt. I was a little dissapointed in them, and maybe it's because I went with the wide 235 series instead of a narrower tire, in that they seem to float on top of the snow and don't dig in like my Green Diamonds did. Sometimes I feel like I am in a hovercraft and not in a car. They do instill more confidence than all-seasons, but just not a ton more. I would maybe reconsider going with a narrower tire next time.

I will finally say that these are a great tire for Wisconsin winters. That's because it only snows 6 times a year, and usually the plows get it right away. They still grip well in the dry. And they are cheap compared to Nokians and Blizzaks. If I were in the UP or Buffalo NY or something, I might get something more snow biased.

Hope this helps,
Tim

My girlfriend has the M3's on her 04' mustang Mach1. We live in the Chicago area and have been hit with lots of snow lately. We were out in at least 3" of fresh snow and the rear drive Mach1 was easily contolled. There were front drive cars slipping and she was just taking off like nothing. I drove the car in the dry and they handled very well IMO. I was gonna put a set on my MR until they sold out?

hahaha it snowed here in NY last night about a food 3-4 inches and i found a empty parkin lot, the tires are pretty grippy, but you can still have fun with them ie. slides and all that. If you start drifting it is really easy to gain control again with these tires. Great stuff, lets you have fun and gives great control
