Spacer size?
Spacer size?
Hi guys,
I'm looking to add a better look for my car and wanted to see if I could make my wheels look more aligned with the fenders. Right know the car has some Kosei wheels and they look a bit pushed to the inside from the fender. I wanted to know how can I tell what spacer size will I need in order for me to get that look?
Thanks in advace

Well no one can really give you an exact answer without seeing your car cause it depends on the specific tire width, wheel offset (stock in this case I'm guessing), and camber.
I could easily run a full 1" spacer but I have -3.5* of camber for autocross. A quick run of some numbers shows that each degree of camber changes the distance from tire to fender about 0.22 inches.
So if you are in the -1.5* range, which would be with the stock camber bolt flipped, then a 1/2" spacer would probably work. Of course I'm just guessing for you based on what my car looks like.
Spacers themselves come in two different varieties, bolt on and slip on. The bolt on one IMO are a bit jankey. They're usually pretty heavy to be stiff enough and just another failure point. I prefer the longer stud and slip on spacers, but they can be hard to find sometimes in the larger sizes without having a crappy universal spacer that doesn't really fit anything.
