question about stock tires
question about stock tires
i still have the advans and i understand these are VERY dangerous to use in the snow which is why i pack the car away when i get snow over here but.. what about cold weather? i mean the last few days its been extremely cold like below 10 and i can feel the back giving out a bit when im turning, ive actually spun out once already, the whole car went into a spin.. so im here asking you, do the stock tires not work well in cold weather? Also its not black ice ive back tracked where i spun out and everything looked pretty clean :/ ill have winter tires by next season but as of now im thinking ill just pack the car away for this season
Correct, the stock tires are dangerous at low temperatures. Anything below 40 F should be considered a low traction situation. Below 10 F the stock tires will be as hard and have about as much grip as a hockey puck.
ah alright which is what i thought since it felt extremely odd driving yesterday.. i thought i was paranoid everytime i turned because i kept thinking the tires in the back werent getting enough traction.. guess i was right and im not some paranoid freak
thx just going to pack the car away for the winter and take out the hyundi santa fe? (mothers car
) hyundi to the max!

The Advans are pretty lame below 40F, but, properly shod, the EVO is a blast in the snow.
Don't deprive yourself by packing it away like some lame Lambo.
While the EVO has impressive track performance for a 30K$ car, it's off the dry pavement that you don't need to add the "for the price" qualifier.
Get a winter wheel/tire package and have some fun.
