They never replaced the coilover. They only filed the top of one when I sent it back. I think my dampers (threaded strut bodies) are undersize because when the locknut comes loose the whole mess is very sloppy. I can grab my front wheel and rock it back and forth 1/2 to 3/4".

JIC makes good products and the FLT-A2s on my Eclipse are by far the best suspension parts.
I think the trouble in this case was with the dealer you used rather than the manufacturer. I wasn't aware that JIC even sold direct. There are some parts that are good, but become bad because of the dealer, and there are bad parts that become good because of the dealer. Perhaps you should use a different dealer in the future when dealing with JIC products.

My Muellerized JIC coilovers just arrived yesterday.....this isn;t making me feel very confident at the moment, but on a side note the components seem to be put together well.....my dad has a bilstein/H&R coilover on his carrera and looks to be similar quality. I guess I'll let you know how things go...still waiting on rear trail arm bushings and alignment specs.

my bro and i also had bad experiences with jic. we were told to come over to their store in downey to get a prototype downpipe and exhaust installed. when we went, they wouldnt even let us inside the garage to see exactly what kinda work they will be doing to our car. they told us to go eat dinner in a restaurant across the street and after we told them we already ate, they said they will have everything installed in an hour or so. we were about to leave and then they told us it will take 10 minutes max.
i was thinking my god, they jumped from an hour to 10 minutes. we told them we'll just install the exhaust ourselves and the guy just sneered and gave us some weird attitude.
im not sure if jic products are bad, im sure they are reputable, but its the customer service that just blows. i had a feeling they didnt just want to test a prototype downpipe, but do much more to our car without our permission. if anyone lives near downey, try going to their jic store and crawl into their garage, one of the mechanics will run towards you like forrest gump and kick you out before you can even ask a question.
