I run the Eagle DS-G3 in a 265/35R18. Fantastic wet traction, ok in the dry. If you're going for dry tarmac performance, I'm sure you can do better than either of the listed tires.

If you can find them in the right size the Hankook RS3 is a better all out performance tire for the price but likely shorter tread life.
The Dunlop star specs are the standard recommended performance tire on evom. They are a little more expensive but seem to get a little more tread life than the RS3.

Have had a lot of happy customers on the V12's. Great bang for the buck and I would say similar tire to the GY. Not sure what size you're looking at, but the GS-D3 is being discontinued in many many sizes. Will make it harder to find a replacement in the future. Keep that in mind.

Check out the conti extremecontact DW for a rediculous wet tire but suffers from tread squirm (Its what I run on my Evo for the rain auto-x tire). Of course the Star Specs are pretty great in the dry and still decent in the rain. RS3s are great in the dry but not in the wet, as are the kumho XS's.
Hankook V12s are solid performance for a street tire in all conditions while having respectable life and cost. Id go that route for a pure street tire.

I see....but yeah I'm getting them for the summer, so I'd love some real grippy tires, but also pretty good on wet..I had nexens before, Damn those tires sucked! You can't even take a turn, it fish tails...I asked about these 2 brands cause read couple of reviews and seemed pretty decent for their price...but never owned either so looking suggestions

I run both an evo v12 and an RS3 and can tell you that on the street you wont benefit much from the added grip of the rs3. The v12's grip is very predictable and I've even autox'd on them. They last a decent amount of time too and great in both dry and wet traction. Great bang for the buy tire as said earlier.

Conti DW is my vote. they do have a soft sidewall, but the tires still perform well imo.
They only cost a few bucks more than the V12's & offer better wet & dry grip & last longer than the tire rack survey.
I have ~17k on my tires & I give them hell when the open road allows. They have ~6-8k more miles left in them.
