I also found my receipt for my alignment. All it is is a receipt no numbers were put on it of my alignment. The only information I got was tht the alignment was performed 12/14/11 and I have only put 3k miles on my car since then

How many miles on the tires? How many miles passed since last time you checked tire pressure and when you first noticed this? You may have a defective tire that is rounded. If you have sufficient proof of an good alignment and that you maintained proper tire pressure, then I would think you are due a new tire. If you toe was bad it would affect the entire width of the tire, not just the middle.

Toe. Look at the center:

Its feathered outwards.

And 30 psi after a 25 min drive appears low. Should have gone up a few more psi with heat in the tire.

So does the general consensus agrees that its a bad toe alignment?

If your toe was ok since last align (you said dec 2011) and that tire looked like the other three around that time as well, I would say its a factory defect. Potential issues are crown radius is too high (round tire), tread center gauge too high, or possibly base compound gauge too high resulting in very fast wear in center of tire.

Smike, you think any of these are culprit? could be a hopper loss on a cold feed extruder?

If it were me I'd be trying to get a replacement tire and have it shaved.

Look at other DOT weeks on the tires. If all the same week; I doubt factory defect. Crown radius is set by the mold. If tire was too small then the overlay would have caused the tire to tighten up a lot in the curing stages.

Toe will eat a tire very fast. And not knowing what alignment it has...I'd like to see hard numbers before tires.

Don't know Kuhmos manufacturing process. If they scan their tread contours or uniformity screen their tires.

Regardless, it would be prudent to take it to a shop and at least have the alignment checked before you install any new tires.

Smike may be right but I'd expect to see wear from toe all across the face of the tread and especially at the edges. I wish I could feel the tread. A toe problem will round one edge of a tread block and the opposite side will be sharp edged.

I say bad tire.

I'm in agreement. I personally have never seen toe just wear the center, there is always feathering/cupping at the edge as well, unless tire pressure is way off but that has been ruled out. I have no experience with tire manufacturing processes, but I've replaced my fair share of tires lol. With that said I have seen defective tires do some very strange things... I would really like to hear Neal's input on this...
