do any of you guys kno whats an ideal " to lower the car yet, its driveable, pass speed bumps, and legal in socal?

The law says as long as the lowest part of your car is not lower than the lowest part of your rim you're ok.

24008. It is unlawful to operate any passenger vehicle, or commercial vehicle under 6,000 pounds, which has been modified from the original design so that any portion of the vehicle, other than the wheels, has less clearance from the surface of a level roadway than the clearance between the roadway and the lowermost portion of any rim of any wheel in contact with the roadway.

good rule of thumb is that most cars can be lowered about 1.5 inches without complications. Beyond that, changes in a severely lowered car’s suspension may negatively affect ride quality, tire wear and increase the risk of "bottoming."
