lowering an all wheel drive

i just want to know if its true that lowering an all wheel drive car is good or not... i heard somewhere that its not good but i look on here and everyone is doin it...and if its ok then how much should i drop it if keep 17s on there

It has little to no effect on the all wheel drive system. An extreme drop might stress the CV joints a bit more. Lower away - just get your alignment checked after.
