MR Bilstein + swift PLEASE HELP!

hi everyone

i have a set of mr bilstein with swift spring on my car and kinda like it!

it rides good, i track my car and use her as daily drive too.

But here's the point, there's some kind of noise when i got into speed bump. It came from both front struts nothing from rear. I have check alignment of spring like someone posted on this site, everything looks correct.

I went to some garage around here and they said 'spring will make struts blow out someday soon, it's the sound of compression between spring and the top part of struts'. So i'm asking here what's happen to my car and how can i fix it?

btw,
i'm thinking of putting this set of HKS instead of bilstein + swift, what do you think? and can someone give me the name of these coilovers?

Thanks!!

Shop is full of ****. Struts do not care where they stroke from; they care if they bottom out. Swifts are engineered to not bottom out (aka unlike Tein).

First off, what kind of noise?

Look like pick your color coil overs. HKS = Starbucks/Nike. You're paying for a name. Secondly, you're in no way ready as a driver on track for coil overs. From an instructor standpoint, until you can drive 11/10ths as-is, no changes.

You're just asking for some flaming by wanting a set of coilovers for how they look since you have no idea how they perform.. How could you if you don't even know what they are.

Front struts could be dying or you could have a bad ball joint. Hard to say without looking at it.

I can promise you that no coilover you buy will ride as nice or be as quiet as a set of bilsteins on swifts, gtworx, or OEM spring.

you're making an assumption. just because he doesn't know that they'll perform better doesn't mean he doesn't assume they will perform better simply because they're coilovers. I didn't read your assumption into his post.

do the front springs have the rubber around the bottom of them?

here is a pic, there is a rubber seat and the bottom of the coils are covered in rubber tubing. if its missing, they will make a lot of noise.

At first, there's no rubber around the bottom so I bought it from the shop and installed it. I thought the noise will be gone but no. It just get more quiet but still noisy when get over speed bumps.

Are the perch mount alignment holes aligned? Top strut mount has a hole in it. Make sure its aligned to the bottom.

Not really. Drop 3 top nuts and look. Easy and wont change alignment.

Could be top hats or swaybar endlinks.

If you took them all the way out then yes on alignment. If you dropped the top as suggested by Smike then no.
