just saw this.. and thanks for thinking of me?! And I have to say those are some nice pieces. (I really dig 7-spoke wheels). But alas, I am in the 17" camp, cuz I also dig the stock tires.

Has your fitment team tried this combo yet. How about on a lowered car?

Havent received a green light on that sized tire yet. It is .4" taller than stock and 3/4" taller than the 255/35-18. Seen larger on an EVO but still cant say 100% it will work properly

The guys who work in the retail bay are really not set up to do fitments on cars. They perform retail installs on vehicles that come in. My fitment team is currently out of the country working with a wheel manufacture and probably wont return for another week. Even still, there's vehicles on the fitment list that keeps them pretty busy all day.

The concern with with the height of the tire. The tire might fit just fine as the vehicle sits there, but is suspension travel that causes problems. Going into a driveway, loading the car with people (or new EVO parts hehe) , bumps in the road etc etc can all cause enough suspension travel that the .4" can cause a problem. Your welcome to purchase a single tire, or even a set and see if they work. But if driven on they cannot be returned. And to find if there is enough suspension travel usually means you have to drive the tire. Sort of a catch 22.

We have a rack here where that they strap cars to and winch them down to try and simulate suspension compression and rebound. During this simulation, my team must have found that the little increase in overall diameter was just enough to cause a problem. Every car is built a bit differently so this might not be true for every EVO. But I am assuming this is why that's not on my menu of sizes.

What tire are you recommending in the 255.35.18? How day they compare to the KD's? It will be going on a Evo RS that will be mostly driving to and from the track (Gingerman) and a little bit on the street. Don't care about noise or wear for that matter, just looking for a tire that will hold up well on the track.

In that size, the follwing would be the best way to go:

Goodyear Eagle F1-GSD3 (should be here around middle of the month)
Bridgestone S-03 Pole Position
Pirelli P-Zero Nero
Michelin Pilot Sport

I think you would really like the GSD3, but the ETA is a bit touchy right now. Taking my car to Gingerman as well! Maybe I'll see ya there. We ususally go on Wend nights.

How about the Pirelli P-Zero Nero tire? Can I order everything now? Gingerman opens in April 1, I will be going out the S4 then, won't have the Evo RS till May. I would like to get the tires & rims ordered so I have them.

For competition use, the Corsa would be better. The P-Zero Nero is a street based tire. We carry the Hoosier Pro Street tires for the Mopar!

Heres mine:

Nice! Gotta love the Plum Crazy! Sounds like the Corsa is the way to go, I will call this week and get them ordered from you (just don't tell Luke) I think the 255 will be much better for the track, is the fitment good on a 2" front, 1" rear drop?

Thanks Gets more attention in that color. 2" drop is a bit aggressive. However, I dont see there being any major problems using that size with that drop.
