If you are not rebuilding the caliper, I would;
Disconnect caliper, mask tape over seals, and sandblast to bare aluminum.
Clean with prep all
spray high temp primer
Spray high temp color
Install high temp brembo decal
Spray high temp clear
Take tape off
Bake in oven to cure. (Highly recomend)
Reinstall, bleed.
I used vht brake paint, I think over all only costed $60 for everything.

I would also recommend liquid powder coats in pa. Martin is a dsmer who does some really good work, he did the wheels for me on my DSM back when he first got started

Once you bake it in the oven, won't that ruin the seals and you'll nee to buy the rebuild kits? Price those out sometime - prepare to be heartbroken when it's over $600 for all 4 caliper rebuild kits.

I would imagine you don't bake it with the seals on.Originally Posted by 2004EvoVIII

Yeah, but on the other hand you know someone has done/will do it, lol. Also - could damage stuff on removal.Originally Posted by Raptord

I'm just saying - if one isn't careful with that type of thing it can result in big money

^^^^I hope the caliper seals can handle 200 deg. You can install them without baking, and the heat from driving/braking with cure the paint also. But if you get brake fluid on uncured caliper paint it runs.

If it's just 200 they should be fine. Again - I'm just saying that maybe some specification would be required as far as temps, length of time in oven, etc...Originally Posted by madman55

We live in a world where people need to be told to take the wrapping OFF the pop tart before sticking it in the microwave or toaster.
