Need help with brakes.

changed my rotors and pads back in June. Well been driving for a while looked at my rotors have slight grooves and what looks like uneven wear. What gives is my? I bleed them right. this was the reason i changed them when i bought the car. Should i re-bleed them or start looking for new front Brembo Calipers..

Best thing i could get at autozone, just suppose to be a temp fix. Stock rotors, pads were duralast gold ceramic pads. the grooves are felt on passenger front. left side is good. I remember this was the case with the brembo pads as well. this is a quick pic from my cheap cell. ill try to get a better one when i get home from work.

The second pic is the drivers side shows a little but not bad. when i first did the brakes i checked them for the first two weeks and i got nothing. i only DD this car so im not sure. I have the old rotors still so im thinking about taking them to cut and re-install and re bleed. Might change the pads too. i think they are still covered under warranty.

Bleeding isn't going to fix a rotor - pad problem. Unless you have a stuck piston, changing calipers won't fix it either. It is hard to tell how bad the rotor wear is from the picture. But if it is bad, you have either crummy rotors or pads, maybe both.

You went cheap but you still paid money for the rotors and pads. So, you might as well get some of that investment back. I'd suggest just running them for now while figuring on replacing them with better equipment later.

to me it looks like foreign material (sand, rocks, etc) got stuck between the pad and rotor. i would pull the pads out and see if there is any dirt hanging around in there.

Are the grooves so bad that the car shudders under braking? If its really bothering you I'd suggest getting the rotors turned and investing in some quality pads.

Took them to go get looked at. taking them off this weekend. Going to re- bleed and re-bed. My friend said it looks like just sand and maybe foreign debris being caught in the pad.

Get better pads.

How deep are the grooves? Can you feel them with your finger nail? Is there any brake shuttering under braking?

Did you re-use the stock rotors when you change pads? Or are they both Autozone pads and rotors? Did you have the rotors turned before the new pads?

I can feel the grooves, but feels like sand or heavy dust. Do you know what type of pad is recommended. Semi-metalic or full ceramic? New pads new rotors. I still have the stock rotors. and old pads. I'm taking them off this week. clean up the pads turn the rotors and re-install. Thank you guys for all the help

I would look at StopTech Street Performance pads or EBC RedStuff or Satisfied GranSport.

OEM rotors or Autozone rotors?

For rotors, I think from what he is saying, the answer is both but he is running autozone and planning on turning and reinstalling OEM.

From what you said the only thing wrong is the appearance right? If the car stops well and the brakes don't howl like a banshee drive the car, enjoy it and don't look at the brakes, you have absolutely nothing to worry about.
