I'm thinking of getting new tires at Costco, but I'm a little worried about whether or not I can count on them not to scratch the rims. Walmart has cheap tires too, but the manager there told me that they had a cheap machine and no promises on not scratching the rims.

I work at Costco and if you can wait we have an $80 rebate coming up in June on every tire except BFGoodrich I believe. I'm thinking of getting some Bridgestone Potenza RE750's in 235/45-17's. Anyone have any experience with these? They are going to be $141.99each installed.

We also have very good customer service when it comes to stuff like damaging rims so just let them know to watch them and maybe do a walk around with them before they touch them.

Highly recomend Costco. At least the one in San Antonio. This has been the only place that didn't over torque the lugs. Very profesional and the price can't be beat. I got the KDW's and it includes free balance installation and lifetime rotation and repair. One of the dudes also told me if I got new rims they would mount and balance them for only $20. Best customer service I've had.

Double check the price on the KDW. I was quoted that price and had them special ordered. When they finally came in the price was higher since this particular Costco was operating off of an old price list. Otherwise, Costco is one cool place to get tires and have them installed.

Costco is great for tires, I have purchased tires from them many times. Just remind them a couple of times to be careful with the rims. Take pics if you are worried they will damage them.

I had a great experience with Costco when they fit my girl's car up for some new tires... I'm glad to hear they also take care of not scratching up custom wheels.

I just used them to have my Michelin Pilot Sport PS2's installed, great service and good price. Only problem is they would only set the pressures to the Mitsu specs, not what I wanted them at...

I work for Costco. You guys/gals have nothing to worry about. We stand behind our service 100 %. Just do a walk around with the installer and show him that the rims are scratch free and have him put it in writing that they were free from scratches/nicks-dents. They have always taken good care of me but I'm prejudice because I work there

This late so I'm sure you have tires already, but I don't like the 750s personally. The sidewalls are a little soft and the tread squirm is bad. The BFG KDW is much better in my opinion.
