Need help with Coilovers for my IX

I tried to read/search before I posted but just looking for a bit of info/help choosing a Coil Over suspension for my Evo. Im not looking to win any track sessions so dont need anything radical. Looking mainly to lower the car and from what I read going Coil Over is much better then just adding lowering springs.
Not sure what my budget is but lets say anywhere from $800-$1400 for a nice set. Looking to lower it pretty good but not HellaFlush style lol more like slammed but functional and that I can raise back up easily.
Just need some help with people pointing me to the right direction. Are Tein in my price range and if so which ones?
Thank you

In all truth, it doesn't matter what you get. The suspension will be screwed up no matter what with such extreme lowering, so buy whichever coilovers you like. Just so you understand, raising and lowering an Evo necessitates an alignment. You may want to consider a set of Swift springs. Good luck.

I like my fortune auto coilovers. Right in the middle of that price range.

Im talking more like a Inch or 2 from the tire to the fender.
What about the AWD Motorsports D2 I know its more a 1/4 track setup coilovers but that may be better suited for me

megan streets or tracks... i prefer the tracks(have had both), but the streets would give you what you want. They are around $800 bucks new.

/sigh.

Lots and lots and lots of threads about this.

Cannot lower and raise the car up. Changing the ride height requires an alignment - every time.

You want look over function? Get cheapest you want. Plan to replace often. You want actual function raise your spending limit to $1700+ for GTWorx KW3 or AST4100s.

Yes I realize there are many threads about this, Im not a noob to forums (LS1Tech,SupraForums,Need2Speed,SVTPerformance..et c etc)
Im also aware that everytime you change the suspension up and down you change the alignment.
Im not looking for cheap *** Coilovers, Something in the halfway point of looks and function. I assume people on here would know of a good coilover suspension that would allow me to lower my car to my desired ride height during the spring/summer and raise it back close to stock during the winter months (of course getting it realigned).
A friend of mine with a pretty nasty fast Evo suggested AWD Motorsports D2 suspension but that looks more or less a 1/4 track type coilover. Just bull****ting and looking at some of the Stancenation Evos they are running Tein.
Ill def check out GTworx KW3 or AST4100's thank you.

Kw without a doubt. Tuv approved and built with quality. Tad more expensive than your budget but well worth the comfort and performance.

i've heard bcs are good bang for buck, otherwise i hear a lot of people using teins ? another friend of mine also uses H&R coils which are decently priced for a euro coil. im sure if its just to lower the car instead of springs then any would be great.
im on bilstein pss9s and for a DD theyre great

If you're looking at an inch or two from tire to fender just get swift sport or spec-r springs. If the front doesn't drop enough, run tien and relish in the harshness/terribleness of the ride

get some bilstein HD used and some swift spec-r springs will be much better than any cheap coilover setup. unless you got money than get some kw v3 or racecomp.
