Evo 8 with 9 wheels and spacer??
Hey guys iv'e got a set of Evo ix enkei's on my 8 and want to space the wheels out a bit. As of right now im thinking of doing just the rears because the fronts don't look so bad. The car is lowered on coilovers and is pretty low... What size spacer can I do in the rear that's going to look good, function properly and not possibly cause damage in the long run? Should I get a slip on spacer or something like the Bolt-on Ichiba ones?? Can I run a 20mm in the rear safely or is that too much? Thanks for the input!
If you search around, others have used spacers on the stock wheel
Stock wheel spec: 17x8 +38. Adding a 20 would put the wheel at +18 (way too aggressive)
I would try & keep the offset +28 & higher for the best fit. The lower the offset, the more you will need rear fender work (rolling, pulling & the other tricks we use)
Tire size plays a significant roll as well, but you didnt note any size
