Thoughts on bc coils?

Hey everyone. Right now I'm trying to decide if I want coils or springs. I'm between a set of bc coils or eibach pro kit to go on my stock struts or tanabe's. what's the better option here? The springs on stock struts or the coils? They were used for 4k miles and in good shape so I'm getting a good deal on the coils

Take a look at the stickies. Tons of helpful information on there that should help you decide what is best for your need and budget.

Good for lowering your car.... not so good if you're going to be tracking it.

And as far as springs/struts vs coilovers. It all depends on what you're doing with the car. If it's just a DD with some occasional "spirited" driving, then you don't really need coilovers.

I have had BCs on my evo for about 20k miles...they were good the first 10k but then started to make some noise...if you are doing it for DD i wouldnt put coilovers on

Pick the color you like for 1500 or less. Nothing else matters. They are all the same more or less.

i know this is for a different car and all and the suspension was set up by a pro, but it does make the bc coils look pretty good. according to lap times at least.

They only used the coilovers for one track day. I don't choose coilovers because they are capable of fast lap times. I buy high quality parts that will last the life of the Evo so I can get the maximum return on my investment.

car parts are never an investment. you will never get your money back. but i do understand what youre saying and if that's the case youre gonna have to spend 3 grand.

I hear the bc's are a great coil for dd and mild track stuff but coilovers are pricey and incase they blow out be ready to kick yourself in the ***. Go the rought im going, good set of lowering springs will give you nice tight turning + a strong aftermarket rear sway bar wil keep that rear in line so its not struggeling to keep up. Whiteline should carry some good stuff like that.
