Evo 5 Brakes

Hello. I am new here so my apologies if I am asking dumb questions. I have Evo 5 and was wondering if it is worth upgrading Evo 5 front brakes for Evo 9's. Also what is the difference between the 2. Any info would be appreciated. Thank you very much.

you'd prolly be better of getting a bbk designed for the evo 5, a quality kit will have brake balancing and abs (does the 5 have abs) issues figured out, and it will bolt on without any custom parts

Only difference between those two calipers it that the evo5 brembo has little r-clips on the pad retaining pins while the evo6+ brembos use a little bush.

Other than that they are identical, same discs, same pads, same calipers.

I would agree, but also think the question is in the wrong forum, no?

The only difference between the 5 and 9 Brembos are the pad retaining pins.
You can rebuild your calipers if they aren't performing well by replacing the seals and boots. Get yourself some good pads and rotors if they are worn. All the brake parts from an 8/9 will fit your car with little to no modification.
