Brake upgrades?

For those of us who would like to upgrade the Rotors and Brake pads on the evo, what would most of you recommend? I'm not looking to do any brake system upgrades or change out my rotors, personally i'm looking for a 2 piece rotor, slotted and/or drilled, and some brake pads that will last on the street/strip and resist fade slightly better then the brembos....

go with slotted over drilled any day... also you don't want a ton of slots. The more pad you have contacting the rotor the better. Other then that I too would like to find some nice replacement rotors.

Baer makes very good rotors. Opt for slotted as opposed to drilled. As for pads, consider Project Mu, Porterfield, Carbotech or Endless.

I have had good experience with Hawk Black HPS pads for street use. They are dusty but they stop very well. Got them from Tire Rack for my other car. Will be getting these once my EVO stock pads wear out. The stock pads are pretty dusty too. I did not notice they kind of start to fade quite quickly.

As far as rotors, I cracked drilled rotors before at the track so I stay away from them. The only ones I'd use is if they were cast with holes like the porshe ones but that is pricey.

Never tried slotted rotors - always had good results with proper pads and solid rotors. I used Brembos and Zimmerman and they both hold up well.

The nice thing about the Baer 2 piece is that they save over 14lbs of unsprung rotating weight compaired to the stock rotors..if you like "spirited driving" thats a huge differance. Also avalible NOW through Pruven tell Dan the Buschur car in Calif sent ya... fantastic feel and good looks all in a package which cost less than stock and even less when you have to replace only the friction surfaces...(I think less than 150 a corner...for the friction surfaces)
