What kind of coilover should i go for???

Im about to get some wheels and coilover for my evo 8, can someone give me some advice of what to get? Since i dont have the time and money to play around, i thought i would ask someone here on this matter. I going to buy Varrsteon wheels 18x9.5 with 12 offset. What would be the best coilover for it? I read on here that some people recommend 8k front and 9k rear. Give me some names and price on each if u can. And if u can tell me the spring rate that u can recommend me on it too..... Thanks

Lack of time and money: Get the MR Bilsteins + Swift Spec-R springs. Don't mess around with cheap coilovers.

You'll have to do your own research here. Use the search function and select this subforum. You'll find a large number of threads asking the same question.

For example, this one is currently only a few lines below your thread:

+12 is a huge offset...that's meant for 240's, not evos

+20 on a 9.5 wheel will need skinny tires 235/245 and around 2° camber to clear. And that's assuming those wheels don't need a spacer to clear the front brakes

You can squeeze 245's on there.

Probably want to ask your question in the stance thread or in general in the show and shine section. This forum is more for track oriented setups. I don't think that's what you are going for.

+1 on the BC's. I just installed these this past weekend and I am loving them! My car is my DD and it handles great and rides awesome! If you are planning on tracking your car them I probably wouldn't go for the BC's. IMO they are nice for a daily driver.

Oh and I could probably get you the BC's for 950 + shipping through a local shop!

I'm confused how you consider the ride of Tiens "amazing". They are some of the worst springs you can buy
