I am currently taking a chassis motorsports class and I have been tossing around an idea of building a custom stub frame to free up some weight and add some rigidity. Has anyone attempted to make one??

There have been different companies who were going to make them but Im not sure if anyone actually ever did.

They could be used on non-competitive cars in roadracing or autox but generally a subframe change will dump you into a mod class.

I think Magnus has a rear subframe for drag racing but I don't know of anyone making a front.
