wheel sits in issue!!! anyone seen this!!???

Hey all I haven't been on here in a while but I'm running into an issue and it's bothering me was wondering if anyone knows the fix or if anyone has came apon this before.

So I drive an 06' IX SE. The previous owner put on the Bilstein suspension and iv never noticed this problem before. iv been working on this car for years and iv also been a dealership tech for years so I know what I'm doing as far as the mechanical work,,

But the other day I installed Swift Spec-R lowering springs in the front, they are the correct springs for the MR bilstein suspension!! I have yet had the time to install the rear yet. Just did the alignment myself and specs are dead on camber and toe for front and rear, my problem is that even though the alignment is dead on and the vehicle drives nice and straight the passenger front wheel seems to sit in farther than the drivers side. With the steering wheel straight, the driers wheel/tire sits just about perfectly in line with the top of the fender, the other side it's not straight in line with the fender, almost seems "tucked in" or the negative camber is way too much. That was my first thought so I completely redid the alignment twice and the machine reads -1.0 on both sides. the car drives nice, no pulls or drifts.

Now with all that said I'm wondering if the problem has been there before and iv never noticed it untill I lowered the front. Like I said the previous owner installed the Bilstein suspension maybe they got one of the tops out of position? I marked everything and it came apart and went back in the exact same way. it just bothers me the way by look you can tell the one wheel sits in farther than the other..

If anyone has any input on this please reply thanks all..

Picutures using a straight edge would help all of us see what youre describing

Sounds like some form of front end damage incurred by the previous owner

You'd be surprised how many people get in accidents, fix it themselves and nothing is told to insurance... Upload the pictures to photobucket. then paste them here

But I do agree with the front end damage. or you have wheels with different offsets... have you tried putting the wheel with the issue on the other side?

the front wheels should be tucked in. there is about 1.5-2cm from the top of the wheel to where it would hit the fender if you drew an imaginary line directly towards the ground from the lip of the fender.

if you have 1 wheel that is flush, something is way wrong

front wheels should be tucked in, not even to the fender.
what wheels do u have? if its oem then u can rule the offset off the list.
did u install the springs correctly?
u cant install the tops incorrectly. its 3 holes, match them up and done.
u keep saying u did the alignment, have u tried letting someone else do it?
100% clean does not mean it is without damage. u can crash the car and fix it and its 100% clean. as long as its not reported to the insurance company it wont go on the record.

possible

I have one of our novas that has this same issue and its a tube chassis car, this may sound funny but look at the fenders and it may be hard to tell, but just by leaning against your front fender it can change maybe the side that you think is right was leaned against and the difference is just enough. but it could as well be frame damage.

Check the fenders to see if one has pulled pulled an rolled ( check the inner lip ) or if one has been replaced...they are supposed to have the OEM paper tag on them
check specifically for paint or tiny amounts of over spray.

There is the Dave Evo fender mod that pulls the fender out away from the front door to give more space as well.

Check the eccentrics for being the correct ones and installed correctly in the right direction fo r the camber you want.

Then check the steering arm joints and rods. Along with the ball joints. Specifcially check to see if the LCA ball joint is insertd into the bottom slot properly and the bolt tightened down so the height is the same

I 100% agree with clean title dont mean squat as many many people get a fender replaced or banged and replaced without reporting.
