Anybody know if there's a 16" wheel out there that clears the front brake calipers?

For certain applications in rallying we have to clear the stock stuff and there isn't a 17" rally tire made.

So if I can get a 16" wheel on the car, that opens up some options.

me neither, i think that 16" would look really small on the evo...just my opinion though

 

This is strictly for rallying.

All the good rally tires are 15". For Open class or Gp N you are allowed to change the brakes and the mountings to get a 15" wheel to clear.

For production based classes you can't change anything. There are 16" rally tires available.

To make the car ralliable in the production based class you have to get a 16" wheel to fit.

Im assuming a 185 tire with a huge offset (placing the wheel outboard of the caliped, where the rim has a larger opening on the inside, if that makes sense.....why don't you e-mail Rhys Millen motorsports, Im sure he may have an answer....
