Hey guys are 235 40 18 too small of tire to fit on a 18 x 9 +30 offset rim, on a evo 8? I got in a discussion with a "tech" claiming the stock 17 x 8 in relation to the 18 x 9 would be a closer fit to stock calibration than 245 & 255 tires?Thank you in advance guys

what are you asking? 235/40's will fit fine on an 18x9, they will just be stretched a bit

215/40 is a lot of stretch on an 18x9

255/40 or 265/40 is a square setup and what I'd run on on an 18x9 if you're looking for meaty tires

Like the previous poster said it will be fine but a little stretched. I run 235/40/ 18 on 18x8.5 , also 255/35/18 will fit real nice on those 18x9. As far as what the tech was probably talking about he may be saying that a 235/40/18 would be closer to a stock 235/45/17 in overall diameter.
