Coilover recommendation

All,

Looking to pickup a nice set of coilovers. Looking to spend around 1500. Its a DD that will see some track use. What does everyone recommend? I was looking at FA coilovers but wanted others input.

Thx

Suggestion

Call Terry at FA & have him question you on what you plan on doing w/your EVO & get him to spec the proper spring rate & shock model, then:

Call MAP, as for Jeff. Have him quote you on the FA's (500 or 510's) Make sure you get the radial bearing & the Swift springs!

Have had great luck with the Eibach Multi-Pro R1's for that price range.

Stretch the budget a little more and pick up one of the used sets of AST 5100's for sale on the board (sets posted right now).

Per Terry at FA, the Swifts are lighter & measure more consistently than the FA's. Meaning a 10K spring rate measures more consistently at 10K vs say 10.5K

How much lighter? And are there any other pros? Trying to decide if the extra $400 is worth it.

My cost from MAP on the Swifts was $225.00 total. FA's website notes the benefits a bit more in detail or you can call Terry @ FA. All in all it may be a diff most would not notice, so if you stay w/FA's standard spring Im sure that would be fine
