Any update on the spring rates or ride height relative to the '03 base suspension?

Do you think it could just *feel* stiffer because of a better matched shock valving? This would keep the oscillation cycles down making it feel stiffer. I've read somewhere in the 'future Evo' section that the springs are exactly the same, but I haven't seen proof either way. Right now I just know that the Evo8 shocks are not at the full capability. Too many bounce cycles before settling.

I am trying to build a '03 evo for SCCA Touring 1. Seeing as the rules are pretty strict and you aren't allowed to change very much with the susupension, the MR setup may be just what is needed to get a little edge. As for the cost, if it gets me closer to those god damned Z06's then it will be worth every penny!

I'd be thinking way outside the box if I were you. I have an Evo and currently race a T-1 Z06. Forget stock springs and struts. The Evo needs coilovers just to get enough tire under it. Plus at least another 100+ whp and brakes that will survive a weekend.
Cheers,
