help: suspension set up for bad road....
Hi, like I said, where I live the roads are pretty rough, it all paved road, but some parts full of bumps, patches, cracks and irregularities. On the other hand other parts are race track like! What would be the best suspension or coilover setting to manage the bad road without being too harsh on the ride?
i would stick with the stock suspension maybe some different springs that ride a bit better like the robispecs any coilover will be too stiff or harsh for those type of roads and will end up bouncing the front end all over the place. the roads here in the philippines r the worst ever imaginable n switching from coilovers back to stock tommi makinen suspension was a revelation
Robispec springs with stock Bilsteins was better than stock springs with Bilsteins on my Evo IX on rough roads. For a lot more money, Ohlins with not too track oriented spring rates are better than stock set-ups over rough pavement. Then, there are the really high end rally set-ups Riegert, Exe-TC, DMS, etc. which I haven't run but have heard can be quite phenomenal.
