Rim fitment

I'm looking to get new rims for my Evo. Do you guys thing 18x9 +30 offset would be a good fit for an Evo 8?

May be a tad aggressive. the 18x9's we carry have a 35mm offset.

Its actually an excellent wheel size for EVO providing you are OK w/modifying the rear fenders depending on tire size

Tire Racks comments are correct, in the sense the wheels are 8mm further outboard than stock & are considered mildly aggressive

You will also want to check the front caliper clearance, as many wheels do not fit over the Brembos

I got my rims in 10.5 X 18 with a +15 offset and I ended up having to run a 10MM spacer so the wheels would clear the front calipers. so math wise +30 should work well for 9's. Have you looked at what any one else is running? I didn't really bother since the wheels i bought only had the +15 offset at the time i bought them.

I went with the ARP studs. Was a hell of a deal to put them in. Had to take the hubs off and press them in. Trying to pull them with a nut didn't work out to well...

I have that same wheel setup currently on my 9. I don't think it's that aggressive at all, just a good fit with no spacers or rolling needed.
