Creaky Brembo.. WTH is this about
Noticed this while in traffic the other day. Evo has been sitting most of the winter and have had it out a few times for a few quick errands. The other day took it to work and got stuck in traffic and noticed this creaking noise and felt it in the brake pedal. Now I don't feel any braking issues or any drag just feel the creak the harder i press the pedal. Took some video.. any thoughts on what this may be or how to correct it?
Mine did that as well, but to a leeser extent than yours.
checked the oe pads, they were about to go, had them replaced, changed the back plate to girodisc titamium pad shims. This somehow got rid of the creaking noise. It worked for me, hope this helps.

Thanks.. yah been doing some research on the net. I have plenty of meat on my pads. I have EBC pads on there (hate them) but haven't replaced yet. I am going to remove the shims and see if that stops and or lessens the noise. Its crazy how loud it is.
That is for sure some serious creaking noise. Only thing that comes to mind is the proper torque of the caliper bolts. Have you checked that?
Another thought, are you sure its coming from the caliper & not some other braking component (Booster?)

Yah no dice. Removed the shims tightened all bolts nothing seems to be visible that would cause this. Not sure what to check on the brake booster. It looks fine no leaks no bad vac hoses. Completely stumped
Searched brake booster noises & read a Ford F150 thread where the guy reported a creaking noise. This guy replaced everything & found it was the master cylinder

Thanks guys. I checked and it sounds louder at the caliper. Only other thing I can think of is to pop the pistons and make sure there isn't any dirt or they are not dry. It really doesn't sound like it's coming from the master cylinder or booster area.
If you do that just be careful. I removed the pistons to rebuild the calipers and they shot out with some force. You should definitely replace the seals while your there. STM sells them for like $25.

Yah I have replaced the seals. I know how easy they are to rip. Probably would replace then again just to error on the side of caution. Such a pain to pop the pistons out.

so did you fix the problem? i have the exact same problem. Mine is coming from the front passenger side. I had my wife press on the break and its definitely coming from the caliper and not under the hood.
I had taken the caliper off to make sure nothing is bad and everything seems to check out ok. Plenty of meat left on the pads, fluid was re-bled and even when driving, it doesn't pull to one side or anything.
Let me know if you fixed the problem because it's driving me crazy right now.

I have not fixed the issue yet. Have not been able to down the car due to my DD taking a poop.. I was planning on taking the pistons and checking all the seals again. It is super annoying so agree but i have not figured out how to solve it yet..

I had exactly the same problem. It was fixed by replacing the seals and cleaning up some shellac like residue from the O/Ds of the pistons which was probably caused by track day overheating.
