New wheels RPF1

Hey guys thinking of getting some new wheels and as with everyone else im thinking of getting some rpf1's

I was thinking of getting 17x9 or 17x9.5 as i want to run 255/40/17's

now offset wise i was thinking 17x9.5 +18 up front and 17x9.5 +38 at the back would that clear everything and will i need to roll fenders im on Swift spec r's and bilsteins

Typically the 17x9 and 17x9.5 will require spacers in the front to clear the calipers.

However if you were to go with a +18 in the front and a +38 in the rear you will not need spacers. A small roll in the back might be recommended depending on which specific tires you choose though.

Personally I would never run a staggered setup. I'd rather use 20mm spacers and longer studs in the front that way I can still rotate my tires without having to fully dismount the tire from the rim.

Thanks exactly what my research and after measureing has told me. I personally don't like spacers as a track guy seen one of two fall off so i will go with a staggered set up

The bolt on spacers are junk...but nobody is talking about those.

Get extended ARP studs and a 20mm hubcentric spacer for the front and pick up the +38 all around.

If you use the staggered setup, you can flip the tires front to back.

The 17X9 ET22 is 9mm into the front of the caliper. It needs piloted spacer and longer studs to work which most people opt out of. The 17X9.5 ET18 clears the calipers, but will be real close to the fender if the car is dropped. This is the fit that most run with a little camber adjustment and/or fender roll.

17x9.5 without a staggered setup I think is a good spot.

I agree with this. I have 17x10 rpf1's and the staggered setup is a pain when it comes time to dismounting

extended studs and hubcentric spacers is a viable option. I have seen alot of people running them at auto x events

Staggered is a headache. The spacers mentioned above are perfect to let you easily keep up to date your tire rotations.

I'm running 17x9 +35 with a 20mm hub centric ichiba spacer (the ones that come with extended studs, part # MT-51120) and a 5mm spacer in the rear with 255/40 nt555.

I prefer a square setup and the spacers so I can still rotate the tires. Plus, you will have a better resell value
