Question Evo 5 vs Evo 8 Knuckle/spindle ?

Hey Evo M,

Anyone knows if the evo 5 and evo 8 front spindles are interchangeable? Planning to run the evo 8 spindles to fit the Wilwood big brake kit.

Any help would be appreciated

Cheers

Nope.

Evo7+ uses different front wheel bearing assemblies so the drive shaft spline is different.

The steering arm joint is in a different place, evo7+ plug in from the bottom, evo5 front the top.

The lower shock mount is wider on evo8 knuckles and the bolt holes are M14 vs M12.

You could probably get it all working if you mix and match stuff but the geometry might be stuffed up.

But in saying all that, brake kits are all interchangeable from evo4-9.

I had evo8 brembos on my old evo4 and my evo6 runs alcons for an evo8.

Thanks Yogi_B. The main reason was to run upgraded brakes so it seems like it would fit up ok based on your evo 6 running the alcons designed for a evo 8.

Appreciate it
