Hi i've been a lurker on evom for quite awhile and reading alot on here and finally decided to start looking for a evo this winter. I have had a srt that was built and put down around 450 but got tired of not having traction lol. anyways found a good deal on a clear title 05 evo that in december the guy slid into a curb with the back tire and it snapped the spindle that holds everything. anyone done this or know much about the repair involved? Im not new to cars and have helped my dad alot with his drag car and replaced rear ends in it so im not afraid to tackle a big project. Thanks for any input!

take a look and see what exactly is broken or bent. Then just order those parts. Its just nuts and bolts man. You take them off and put them back on. see if you can get 1500 off the price from the guy just in case there ends up being more then anticipated damaged.

 

There's usually more damage once you start tearing into it. But mostly just check that the suspension mounting points on the unibody aren't damaged. As mentioned above, the rest is just bolt on's.
