EVO-8 calipers = EVO-X calipers ?
EVO-8 calipers = EVO-X calipers ?
Does the EVO VIII and EVO X front Brembo calipers are interchangeable?
Here's my plan; I got a 2000 Mazda Protege with front Mazdaspeed 6 brakes swap. I just heard that EVO VIII front brakes are direct bolt-on for Mazdaspeed 6 so my plan is to put EVO brakes on my protege. But it's easyer to find EVO X front brake kits with both calipers, brackets, pads, 2-piece disks....
But if EVO VIII and EVO X brakes are different, I'll focus on finding the right brakes for my car.
Thanks a lot for your help.

Evo X has the same mounting location and pads, but the caliper itself is larger, and the rotors are larger. You won't be able to run 17 inch wheels with the X calipers on the car.
If Evo 8 brakes bolt on front Evo X will also. You simply need a larger rotor for the Evo X caliper as it has taller mount lugs because the Evo X has larger brakes than the 8 and 9.
Rear calipers are different, and do not interchange..
