ok guys i have an 04 evo 8 ww...i sold my wheels (gold rota grids) to get something different...i bought the car with those wheels and have never been a fan of gold on white...so i sell the wheels and now idk what the hell to get...ive always been a big fan of mesh wheels but am limited to about $1500 for wheels...obviously if i could i would get ccw which is the end game for me but cant...i was looking at rpf1 sbc 18 x 9.5 +15 but i think they look better on darker colors than white and everyone and their mothers has them...i also dont like stretching the tires, i like the aggresive wheel with the beefy tire sort of how they look on most evo x...so you guys can see my predicament here...i found these wheels called linea corse lemans which look beautiful (mesh) and they seem to not need a spacer and i got excited only to find out theres like a 2 - 3 mo wait on these...so my car is on jackstands and i need to make a decision...i feel like im stuck having to get xxr and figuring out how to fit maybe the 531 with a spacer or just getting the damn rpf1 and learn to like them...it would just suck to get something that i dont like...i mean, i also like the volk te37sl with the polished lip but theyre also expensive...idk, i just thought id post here and maybe get some suggestions from you guys even though i know im probably gonna get bashed but im sure someone will help...if you guys have any suggestions on a wheel that maybe idk about that would be awesome...or if someone has any of these wheels or something similar for sale dont hesitate to lmk... thanx guys...
:sigh: i knew it'd be something...always someone trying to be cute...was pissed after looking around for hours...i appreciate your answer any ways...if i dont get any help then so be it **** it...
This is all I could see. For sure that will not work on a stock body EVO (even w/rear fender mods)
You really need to burn through the wheel threads & find something you like. Once you do, hit me up in the wheel fitment sticky above & will lay out your idea on the calculator
Hey thanx man...I've spent hours looking at wheel threads...all the ones I like are either too expensive or hard to get a hold of...guess you gotta pay to play right lol...I've seen people with the rpf1 +15 and they seem to work...what do you recommend?
+15 is truly a show offset on a stock body 9. Will never fit correctly & rear fender rub is most defenite
Depending on how much fender work you can stomach, offsets in this range might work better for you (18x9.5 +27 to +35). Tire size will certainly affect fit
Heres an example of fit after fender work. Ask these guys running these very shallow offsets to do what is pictured below. If that cant be done, it just doesnt fit will rub

well the previous owner rolled the fenders what seems to be flat and did ab****ty job at it but it's rolled...also if you look at the quarter panel there seems to be some distortion so I suspect the sob pulled them some...I got the car like this on rota grids + 20 or + 22 offset (whatever they were) and didn't rub...
I am currently running SBC RPF1's in 18x9.5 +15 with a 245/40 tire. Rear fenders are partially rolled and I have about -2 degrees of camber. I do not have any rubbing issues unless I have more then two people in my car.
Please note this is with a half way done roll job on rear fenders and the car is by no means slammed.

So you have rubbing issues....
OP, see my signature for a solid rub free fitment as long as your rear fenders are rolled flat, and you push the firewall side of the front fenders liners back, and a 10mm front spacer to clear the coilover.
oh yes good info! I'm getting perky nipples! man those rpf1s look great on that car...are you sure those are 245/40? They look really stretched or maybe it's just the angle...got any more pics of that thing?
A 265 will fit if you get the right offset. I wouldn't go any lower than a +27, otherwise it'll just poke really bad in the rear, or require excessive camber to not rub, and not look good.
